A Day for Family

Today was a pretty laid-back day. We are planning a big trip into New York City tomorrow, so it was good to spend a day just hanging around with the family. We were especially excited, because cousin Kevin and his girlfriend, Marissa, were expected for dinner, as was Grandma Eda.

After everyone had arrived, we sat down for a delicious meal of grilled hot dogs, hamburgers, and steak. Kala hogged the corn, but there was still enough to go around and nobody would dare challenge a pregnant lady for food, anyway.

Kismet was somewhat wary of Kevin and Marissa at first, but she warmed to them pretty quickly. It was a fun, relaxing visit, and we wished it could have lasted longer.

We're off to bed for tonight. Tomorrow starts very early, and who knows what time it will end?
